The base 2LT trim is a great way to get a lot of value for well under $40,000 MSRP. Move up one step to the 3LT level and you get access to the V6 engine option which raises the maximum towing capacity from 3,500 pounds to 4,500 pounds. All-wheel drive is also available at this level. You can choose the V6 engine and the towing package as well. That would give you a 120-volt outlet, extra USB ports, a 360-degree camera, a Bose stereo system and a rearview camera mirror.
ENGINES AND PERFORMANCE
The new Chevy Blazer provides a standard 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine with 228 horsepower, or you can move up to a 3.6-liter V6 that gives you 308 horsepower. Both engines team up with a 9-speed automatic transmission and your choice of front- or all-wheel drive. The four-cylinder engine can tow as much as 1,500 pounds and the V6 can pull up to 4,500 pounds.
The Chevy Blazer is by far the best-driving crossover Chevrolet makes. The base model and the RS trim stay blissfully quiet on even surfaces traveling at highway speeds. When you’re driving with the more powerful V6 engine, you can go from zero to 60 mph in just 6.1 seconds. The RS trim can come to a stop from 70 mph in a reassuring 165 feet. Fuel economy with the standard turbo-four engine is rated at up to 29 MPG on the highway.
A QUICK LOOK AT THE NEW 2023 CHEVY EQUINOX
The latest edition of the Chevy Equinox is a very credible mainstream compact SUV. Even when you go with the base LS trim, you get an abundance of popular features including infotainment and safety technology. The interior provides plenty of room for passengers and cargo and the turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine gives you 175 horsepower.
